This page explains how I collect, use and protect your personal information, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who I am
Pro APEX is a limited company based in Rugby, Warwickshire. I am the Data Controller for all personal information you provide.
2. What information I collect
I only collect what's necessary to provide my service:
- Full name, property address, phone number and email address
- Details about the work you'd like carried out
- Payment information (only what's needed to process payment)
- Basic technical data if you use the live chat widget on this site (see Section 3 below)
I do not collect sensitive personal data, and I don't use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
3. Cookies & live chat
This site uses a small cookie-consent banner. If you accept it, the site loads a live chat widget (provided by Tawk.to) so you can message me directly from the website. Tawk.to may set its own cookies to keep your chat session working.
If you decline, the chat widget doesn't load and no chat-related cookies are set — you can still reach me by phone or WhatsApp using the details on the homepage.
4. Why I use your information
I use your details only to:
- Arrange quotes, visits and carry out agreed work
- Create contracts, invoices and process payments
- Keep legal, tax and guarantee records
- Reply to your questions and support requests, including via live chat
5. Who receives your information
I never sell, rent or share your details for marketing purposes. I only share information if:
- You give me clear permission to do so
- I'm legally required to by law or a public authority
- It's needed to complete your job (for example, a trusted specialist for gas or air conditioning work)
- It's processed by a service provider acting on my behalf, such as the Tawk.to chat provider, strictly to operate that feature
6. How long I keep your data
I keep your personal data for as long as needed to complete your work, plus 6 years afterwards, in line with UK tax, accounting and legal requirements.
7. Your legal rights
Under UK law you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of all personal data I hold about you
- Request correction of any incorrect information
- Request deletion when there's no legal reason to keep it
- Withdraw consent where applicable, including for cookies
